  1. Get safe. Move out of traffic if the car rolls; hazards on. Call 911 if anyone is hurt or the road is blocked.
  2. Photograph everything. Both cars from all four corners, the damage close up, the other driver's plate and insurance card, the street signs.
  3. Get the police report number if an officer comes. It speeds up the claim.

Is the tow really free?
Yes, when the car is repaired at Prime Motors Body Repair and the repair goes through insurance — the tow is billed to the claim with the repair. If you're paying out of pocket, we tell you the tow cost before we send the truck.
What if it's 2 AM on a Sunday?
Call. Shop hours are Mon–Fri 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM; accident towing is not limited to shop hours. The car is brought to 3701 Gribble Rd and goes on the rack the next business morning.
How far will you come?
Free within our service area: Matthews, Indian Trail, Charlotte, Mint Hill, Weddington, Stallings, Monroe and Waxhaw. Outside that we'll quote the tow up front.
Should I let the police tow truck take it?
If police have already ordered a rotation tow, the car goes to their yard and storage fees start the same day. You can still have it released to us — call as soon as you can and we'll handle the pickup and get it out of storage.
Should I drive it if it seems okay?
If the airbags fired, a wheel was hit, a door won't close or the car pulls, don't. A bent structure changes steering and crash protection. When in doubt, tow. See signs of frame damage.
What do I need at the scene?
Photos of both cars and the other driver's insurance card, the police report number if there is one, and your claim number once you've called your insurer. We'll take it from there.
